Spring-Summer Update and Need to Knows

With Christmas behind us and a month of the new year coming to a close, I wanted to make sure we are all up to speed on our spring and summer plans. So as quickly and clearly as I can, here we go.

D-Now: February 23rd-25th
• Sign up and payment deadline is February 4th
• Cost – $80, $40 for additional students from same house hold, $60 for friends
• Forms can be picked up at church or printed of the church website.

• D-Now “Need to Knows” e-mail will be sent out following sign up deadline on Feb 4th.

J-Creek: June 25th-30th
• Deadlines
o February 25th – $75 non refundable deposit due. We have 25 student spots and the camp is full so get signed up as soon as possible.
o March 15th – Online registration begins

o June 4th – $310 remaining Balance due
• J-Creek “Need to Know” e-mail will go out on March 15th once the registration portal has been opened.

Fellowship Baptist Mission Conference and Service Weekend: July 13th-16th
• The church I was a member of in Bluff City, TN hosts a mission conference each year. This year the, in conjunction with the mission conference, the Fellowship Baptist youth group is serving the Bluff City community and has asked us to partner with them on Saturday and Monday of that week. We will travel to TN on Friday afternoon and return on Monday evening or Tuesday morning. We will by staying in rental properties that my family owns their in Bluff City. During the weekend we will have two days of service, we will hang with the TN youth group during our free times, and will attend the opening day of the mission conference on Sunday night. We are still in the planning stage, but it should be a great weekend for anyone who can go.

Youth Volleyball Tourney/Dodge Ball Tourney: March 17th
• Time: 12pm-4pm, Teams of at least 6

Thunder Over Louisville: April 21st
• The plan will be, weather permitting, to watch the fire works together that night. More details to come.

Cake Auction: April 29th
• 12:30-3:00 pm
• We need absolutely everyone who can be here, both students and parents to be here and help with this event.

Graduate Recognition: May 20th
• Seniors & Parents – please send me a picture, college or future plans, academic achievements by April 29th. Also, send me pictures for a graduate recognition slide show to be shown at church. A couple of pictures from each stage of life would be great.
• We will have Breakfast with the Graduates that Sunday morning during Sunday School.

Discovery Days: TBD
• This is a week or multiple day out reach to the South Asian community in Hurstbourne Grand. It was a great event last year and we are hoping it is even better this coming summer. It will likely be May 28th-30th or June 4th-6th. I will get info out as soon as the dates are set.

J-Creek Car Wash: June 2nd
• 10:00-2:00pm
• All money raised will go to those students who are going to J-Creek.

VBS: June 11th-15th
• The church was extremely blessed by how our youth served in VBS last year. This year will be sports themed and should be a lot of fun.

Hungary Mission Trip: July 26th- August 5th

Sunrise Ministry Trips: March 24th, April 28th, May 26th, June 23rd
